11.11 Conclusion

Most anxiety disorders can be effectively treated if the combination of pharmacotherapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy are used wisely. New advances in both these fields makes the task of the treating physician much easier than previously.

If treatment is not successful consider alternate therapy or referral to a specialist psychiatrist or psychologist.
