'This is one of the best books on weight loss you're ever likely to read. If followed, this approach will guarantee a lifetime of success in weight management. More importantly, it will make you feel comfortable with yourself, and in doing so will help you rediscover the joy of food and eating.'
- Dr Garry Egger, author and developer of the Gutbuster Waist Loss program.

'The outstanding quality of this book is its sanity - it is written to, for and about real human beings. It is the first book on weight management that left me feeling optimistic and empowered.'
- Judith McFadden, author of Diet No More!

If Not Dieting, Then What?
If Not Dieting, Then What?
In If Not Dieting, Then What? Dr Kausman draws on his, and his clients' experiences, to provide a no-nonsense guide to weight management. He looks at the issues of exercise, eating and body fat in depth, and encourages an individual approach for everyone. At the core of his approach is the development of a positive self image.

As Rosemary Stanton writes in her Foreword to If Not Dieting, Then What?

'We don’t need quick-fix diet merchants…we certainly don't need to be told that willpower or eating some particular food combination is all we need for health and happiness. Instead, each person needs to feel good about his or her body - as it is now. Only then will we like our bodies enough to care for them…Kausman looks after people by helping them to like themselves. He offers plans for self-help, but no rigidity. He is patient and understanding and an example to all those working in the so-called weight-loss industry.
