Instructions for Using the Excel Data program
1.
Copy the file from the floppy disc to somewhere on your computer.
Make a note of what folder you are storing it in.
2.
Open Excel, and then locate the file.
3.
When you initially open the file, you will get a message telling you that
there are "macros" in this file.
Click on "Yes, Enable Macros".
4.
Go up to your Tools menu and see whether you have "Auto Save"
as one of the selections on that list. If
you do not, go down to the selection "Add Ins" and select this. In the next window that comes up, put a tick in the box
"Auto Save" and then click "Ok".
5.
Now go back up to your Tools menu - where you will now see "Auto
Save" as an option. Choose
this, and set to save every 10 mins".
NB:
Because each computer has different settings and different monitor sizes,
when you view any of the charts, or even the Main Menu page - you may find that
you need to change the percentage size you are viewing the screen at.
You may also need to use the horizontal and vertical scroll bars.
You can do
this by going to the View menu and choosing "zoom" - or,
most people will have an icon on their toolbar at the top of the window,
that shows you the percentage you are viewing at, and allows you to use a drop
down list to change the view.
When you view a chart - at the bottom of the page are two buttons - 1 to return to the Main Menu, and 1 to print the chart. Neither of these buttons will print when you print out a chart.
