Melbourne Ultrasound for Women was founded in 1995 by associate Professor Lachlan de Crespigny to provide a comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound service for women of all ages. The practice now operates as a partnership with Dr Victor Hurley as the other principal. They have each been in diagnostic ultrasound practice for over 15 years, are both certified ultrasound subspecialists of the of the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and have extensively published their work in diagnostic ultrasound in both Australian and International Journals. Lachlan is a Past-President of the Australian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine and author of the books "Which tests for my unborn baby? A guide to Prenatal Diagnosis" and "Prenatal Testing: Making choices in Pregnancy".
