Chest Pain
Although it can have various causes, chest pain or discomfort is a common symptom of heart attack. This is why it is important to take emergency action if you have chest pain, or other symptoms associated with heart attack that are severe, get worse quickly, or last for more than 10 minutes.
The chest pain associated with heart attack may be mild, or feel more like a tightness, fullness, pressure, squeezing or heaviness. It may also be felt in the neck, jaw, throat, shoulders, arms or back, as well as, or even instead of, the chest.
