The British Digestive Foundation suggests that all those with Gilbert's Syndrome carry with them at all times the message:

This condition is entirely harmless and does not require further investigation.

Repeated vomiting, missed meals, vigorous exercise or a fever can be expected to lead to jaundice (but the urine should stay a normal colour).
