Immunisation

Need for dTPa Promotion

The increase in the number of cases of Pertussis across the country has raised the awareness of the need for women considering pregnancy and their families to check their immunisation status. This article from the MMWR (Morbidity and Mortality Report) from CDC in the USA indicates that it is a problem that is very widespread. ‘Prevention of Pertussis, Tetanus and Diptheria among Pregnant and Postpartum Women and Their Infants’ can be found on the AGN immunisation website.

Information Management

General Computer Tip - Cropping a picture

1.   Click in the middle of the picture - this will place eight handlebars around the picture – these are the points from which you can resize or crop the picture.

2.   If the Picture toolbar is not displayed go to the View menu, select Toolbars and then Picture.

3.   Select the “cropping” tool  from the Picture toolbar and place the pointer on top of one of the side handlebars.

4.   Hold down the mouse button and drag inwards - this will allow you to crop in and remove the unwanted parts of the picture.

You can crop out to regain the entire picture if you wish.

Question: When you write add to the action list and then delete it, does it get saved anywhere? It appears that it disappears into thin air.

Answer: When you Delete the Action or Mark it as Performed it doesn’t appear to get saved, not even in the Progress Notes.

Humour

A married couple were asleep when the phone rang at 2 in the morning.  The wife picked up the phone, listened a moment and said "How should I know, that's 200 miles from here!" and hung up.

The husband said, "Who was that?"

The wife said, "I don't know, some woman wanting to know if the coast is clear."
